The second day in Beijing was absolutely beautiful. Look at this amazing blue sky.......could be shot in San Francisco or Vancouver. At first it may appear that the spartan pollution reduction measures may be working (including eliminating half of the vehicles off the roads by implementing even/odd license plates travel on alternate days and shutting down virtually all factories across Bejing and nearby provinces). However this type of blue sky day did not last as the next day turned sultry and hazy and stayed hazy and smoggy for the next week.
